The sunset to be seen over New York City’s harbour yesterday was — quite simply — stunning, and stunningly beautiful, too !

The sun hung very low in the sky, flanked to its right by the Statue of Liberty, which itself was proudly observing a city slowly picking up all the pieces strewn all over by Hurricane Sandy.

Now I’ve lived in this city on-and-off for 12 years, and it must be said that sunsets like this one are truly uncommon !

Anyway, I decided to give this photo another try, and as you can see from this photo it does appear to be much better than before, showing yet another big jump in my photography skills in just one week's time !!! Yay !!! :)

Though I dare say that this particular photo is a pretty decent shot as well. After all, it does include not only three seagulls, but the Staten Island Ferry as well !!! :)

Bathed by this spectacular sunset, the Verrazano Narrows Bridge was gorgeous !!!

The Lower Manhattan skyline was equally resplendent !

I then decided to take some photos of the seagulls flying overhead !

Judging by its fat belly, not only does this seagull need to go on a diet, but it also needs to be less lazy by tucking in its dangling foot, too ! And for God's sake fella, cheer up while you're at it as well, won't you !!! ;)

I then managed to capture in the same photo not only a flying seagull but also all three of Lower Manhattan’s bridges, too ! However, I managed to perform this feat three times ! Woohoo !!! :)
